Journalist Kevin Powell interviewed Tupac Shakur several times for Vibe magazine back in the 90s.
He just released his memoirs, The Education of Kevin Powell, and to promote them he's revealed for the first time audio of Tupac -- who was in prison for sexual assault at the time -- discussing the incident at Quad Studios in Manhattan in which he was shot. The jailhouse interview begins at about the 2:30 mark:
Just like in the Vibe print interview, which ran in 1995, some of the names are redacted. (Because many are still alive, as Powell explains). But it's known that Tupac went down to the studio to record a track with The Notorious B.I.G., and that he suspected Puff Daddy and Biggie of setting him up.
