With Ant-Man in theaters now, T.I. is doing press. Movie Web pops up with a new interview that reveals the Atlanta native has decided to scrap the title of Traps Open. In its place will be The Dime Trap. While discussing it, he compares it to his 2003 Trap Muzik album.
It’s going to be an extension or a continuation of the vibe from Trap Muzik," he said. "I feel like, when you’ve done hits like “Whatever You Like” and “Dead and Gone,” when you do those mainstream kind of “Blurred Lines”-ish kind of records, you don’t go and try to top “Blurred Lines.” You just come to a whole new element, bring it back down and build the process back over again. I’m breaking it all down, back to the element of where my music first began to interest people, and build it all over again."Considering that he said it was done months ago, it still seems possible we'll be getting it before the year's up.
Do you think T.I.'s new album will be up to par with his previous albums?
