C-Murder (Corey Miller) is serving a life sentence for the beating and killing of 16 year old fan Steve Thomas.

The incident and subsequent trials got a lot of attention because C is a platinum selling artist, is brother of Master P and Silkk The Shocker, and because his rap name fit the crime he was accused of.

In an interview with Vlad TV, Silkk updated his brother's case, and explained that other brother Master P's legal team is working hard to free him.

"I love that guy," he said when asked about C. "I'm fighting for him to get released. It's a tough situation because it's bad in the sense where he's really innocent and that's the part people don't realize. They like, 'Oh, that's your brother, of course you going to say that,' but I wouldn't say that. I think if you do a crime, you do the time but the part that hurts us the most is he's fighting against the whole system. They've been doing it for years. 20, 30, 40, 50 plus years to minorities like that so they get away with it but I believe C's case is going to change a lot of laws, going to change a lot of corruption 'cause they really did him dirty."
There have long been questions about the behavior of the jury during C's second trial, which ended in a conviction. It has been said that jurors were pressured to change their verdict to avoid ending deliberations gridlocked.

Check out the interview below. Silkk also says his brother's rap name is partly why he got life.
