Like his former special musical partner Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan tends to get in the news for his antics.
But he's got tracks too, and one of them did something nobody's done in almost a decade.
This week, the RHQ track 'Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)' became the first song from an independent artist since 2006 to top the urban charts when it overtook Rihanna's 'Bitch Better Have My Money.'
DJ Unk was the last indie artist to do it with the infectious 'Walk It Out.'
Additionally, 'Flex' is number nine on the R&B/Hip Hop Single sales charts this week, and its video has over 45 million views.
It seems like Quan is ready for a label and a debut album.
