Puff Daddy is a massive success: The best paid rapper in the game, according to Forbes.
Nevertheless, it's been a slow decade on the actual music front for Diddy and his Bad Boy label.
Maybe now things are going to speed up.
Epic Records announced today that they have signed a deal with Bad Boy. The label will distribute the next two albums from Puff, and also provide Bad Boy artists with "customary label services including promotion, marketing, sales and distribution."
"I have known [Epic boss] L.A. Reid since the very beginning and together we have enjoyed countless successes over our long friendship," Diddy said in a statement. "To now work with L.A. in this capacity feels more like a homecoming than a new beginning. Not only is he a fearless and smart businessman, he believes in artists and understands music better than anyone. He embodies hard work and true success, evident in all of his endeavors. To collaborate with L.A. Reid is to collaborate with the very best."Bad Boy recently signed Bow Wow and have French Montana and Machine Gun Kelly in their stable.
Do you think Diddy and Bad Boy can make a musical comeback under Epic?
