Given the permanence of ink, it's probably harder to get rid of your tattoo than it is your wife. However after he split with Mariah Carey, the giant Mariah tattoo that covered the upper half of Nick Cannon's back had to be dealt with.
Last night, Cannon was at the Playhouse in Hollywood celebrating his 34th birthday, which is actually next week. As often happens during celebratory times, Cannon removed his shirt, revealing that what once was an ornate tattoo of the letters M a r i a h had been transformed to Jesus on a cross with angel wings coming out of the cross. (Amber Rose was also at the party, BTW.)
This isn't the first time a celebrity has had to alter ink after breaking up with another celebrity. Many moons ago Johnny Depp etched the words "Winona Forever" into his shoulder, a tribute to his then-girlfriend and equally pretty person Winona Ryder.
Well that didn't last, and Depp laser edited the tattoo to "Wino Forever." Advantage Captain Jack Sparrow.
