Lupe Fiasco has made it clear that he's stepping away from music now that Tetsuo & Youth is out. He's free from Atlantic Records, and finally has the chance to relax and enjoy life away from creating music. However, Lupe hasn't said if this move is permanent, and it seems unlikely we've seen the last of him. For now, he stopped by Sway In The Morning for what he deems his last radio interview and freestyle session.
In the interview portion, Lupe discusses why the culture appropriation doesn't exist, the reason why 'Chopper' is so long, not being on MTV's Hottest MCs list, writing and freestyling the long verse on 'Mural,' and his well-documented problems with Atlantic Records.
The finale finds Lupe spitting for almost seven minutes off the dome. Anytime he freestyles it's a must-see, but this is a step above. It's a fitting end to hear Lupe condense his career into a freestyle, from his beginnings at 17 to now.
