We've heard that Birdman only responds to lawsuits. Maybe that's why Lil Wayne is preparing to take Baby and Cash Money to court to get the Tha Carter V out of label purgatory.
According to TMZ, Weezy has given his "daddy" a written ultimatum: release the album or be sued.
Tha Carter V had been scheduled for Dec 9th, and Lil Wayne has been raging against Birdman and Cash Money from social media and from the stage ever since it became clear that wasn't happening.
For his part, Birdman is said to have been "deeply offended" by Wayne's airing of their dirty laundry in public, and will reportedly release the album on his own time frame.
TMZ adds that Lil Wayne and Birdman aren't speaking.
As this mess keeps going, it's becoming less and less likely it's a publicity stunt. (Or it's one the more dedicated publicity stunts ever.) Do you think Birdman is delaying the album's release for quality issues? Or is it something more sinister?
