It has long been music industry etiquette that one mustn't wear the shirt of one's own band when one is on stage.
According to Kevin Durant, a similar rule applies to NBA stars when they play NBA 2k15.
The Oklahoma City forward sat down with Jimmy Fallon last night to discuss, among other things, the video game which Durant says he's been playing since its first version dropped 15 years ago.
Durant is the cover boy for this year's title. But when asked if he would play himself, the reigning MVP said he wouldn't, because that would be "arrogant."
When Fallon asked him who he does play Durant paused, and then claimed that he plays "just anybody." However, Fallon pressed further, and finally coaxed an answer out of Durant: He plays as Lebron.
Hmm. 2K has been counting down their 2015 ratings over the last couple days, but we are not at number one yet. Is it possible Lebron is on top and that's why the ultra competitive Durant picks the pixalated King James for his living room battles?
The clip is below, and it also features Fallon getting pretty competitive; he claims that he has beat Tiger Woods in Tiger Woods PGA Tour and Pierce Bronson in GoldenEye and appears to be ready to challenge Durant in NBA 2K15, with no care at all who he chooses to be.
