Syk Sense produced the Kendrick Lamar track 'The Heart Part 4', which shook up the game last week.

He doesn't think the cut will be on Kendrick's new album, which is rumored to drop on April 7.

But he's heard some of the beats (but not the bars) that are going to be on the project.

In an interview with YouTuber EricTheYoungGawd, Syk discussed the sound of the album, saying it was a departure from the jazziness that Kendrick embraced on To Pimp A Butterfly.

"[It's] some of the hardest shit I've heard," Syk said. "We've got some new guys that's really gonna make a name for themselves with these beats. It's not like the jazzy tape you would think, its like... fucking Memphis. It's LA, it's Memphis."
Interestingly, the interview was removed from YouTube this morning -- suggesting Syk may have spoken out of school.

K.Dot discussed the lyrical theme of the upcoming fourth album in an interview with The New York Times’s T Magazine earlier this month.

“Been thinking about my little brothers. One little brother, he bigger than me, he’s 22. Another brother, he just turned 11. Family,” Kendrick explained. “I think now, how wayward things have gone within the past few months, my focus is ultimately going back to my community and the other communities around the world where they’re doing the groundwork. ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’ was addressing the problem. I’m in a space now where I’m not addressing the problem anymore,” he said. “We’re in a time where we exclude one major component out of this whole thing called life: God. Nobody speaks on it because it’s almost in conflict with what’s going on in the world when you talk about politics and government and the system.” “We love women, we enjoy their company,” he continued. “At one point in time I may have a little girl who grows up and tells me about her engagements with a male figure — things that most men don’t want to hear. Learning to accept it, and not run away from it, that’s how I want this album to feel.”
What do you think about that over some hard ass Memphis/LA beats?

Update: Syk now says he can't confirm the beats he heard are going to be on the new album.
