We got the final verdict on the first week sales for Kendrick Lamar's Mr.Morale & The Big Steppers, his fifth album and first in five years.
The double album pulled in 286K, which is the biggest opening of the year so far. (There's a decent chance Post Malone's Twelve Carrot Toothache will dethrone it when it drops June 3.)
But it came in under the 350K it was initially projected for and it was less than half the 604K DAMN. did first week in 2017, and that was before K.Dot was a Pulitzer Prize winner.
It also came in under the numbers of the most recent releases from Drake, J. Cole, and Lil Uzi Vert and under Kanye's Donda, which is technically his second most recent release because of his stem player experiment Donda 2.
Do those numbers surprise you?
