For the past month, the hosts of the ESPN show 'Highly Questionable' have been trying to figure out who the cuckold New York Knicks player was in The Notorious B.I.G song 'I Got A Story To Tell.' On today's episode Jadakiss tried to play detective and help them get to the bottom of the mystery.
"We fucked in his bed, quite dangerous/I’m in his ass while he playing against the Utah Jazz," Biggie raps in the track that was recorded between 1995 and 1997. Later in the song the late Smalls identifies the baller whose home, bed and girl he violated as "One of them six-five niggas, I don’t know."
It has long been assumed the player in question was John Starks. But Starks denied it while appearing on 'Highly Questionable' in September, arguing he is only six-two. He did confirm that the story was true, before refusing to say which of his teammates was the victim.
Biggie was Jadakiss's mentor, so the 'Highly Questionable' crew asked the LOX member if he knew who the humiliated Knick was.
"Big wouldn't tell me," Jada said. "I've done my own investigation."
"It would have to be [Anthony] Mason, Larry Johnson, maybe Derek Harper," he concluded.
The hosts pointed out that Jadakiss's entire investigation consisted of figuring out which Knicks players on their mid-nineties squads were around six-five. Jada conceded this was the case, admitting investigating is "Not what I do. It isn't my thing."
Then raspy-voiced rapper redeemed himself with an excellent anecdote about being stuck in a car with DMX's dog. The whole clip is worth a watch, even if we don't really learn anything more about the identity of Hip Hop's most unfortunate basketball player.
Who do you think the Knick was?
