Gucci Mane Officially Released From Prison

Gucci Mane has finally been released from prison after serving nearly two years. He was sentenced to 39 months after a firearm possession back in 2014. Today, Keyshia Ka’oir, Gucci's girlfriend, took to Snapchat and Instagram to tease that she was reunited with her love. Complex also got confirmation from someone close to Guwop that he's out.

His original date was scheduled for September, and it's not clear why he got an early release. We'll find out as more details emerge. Don't expect Gucci to be quiet, either. Whenever he's gotten out of prison in the past, it meant new music was right around the corner.

UPDATE: KY, who does engineering for many artists, confirms that Gucci is working on his new mixtape titled Gucci Free tonight with plans to release it tomorrow.

UPDATE 2: Gucci's lawyer Drew Findling says Mane will be under house arrest for a few months, and then on probation.

Findling had filed a motion to credit Gucci with time served, and apparently the judge agreed.
