Game called the protest Operation H.U.N.T. -- which is an acronym for both Hate Us Not Today and Hunt Us Not Today -- and he accumulated a good crowd on the way to the police headquarters.
Game and Snoop Dogg ended up at a press conference with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and LAPD chief Charlie Beck. Later the rappers addressed the media and new police officers at a LAPD graduation ceremony.
Snoop stated that his intention "was not to bash the police, but to get some communication. We want to thank [the officers]," he said. "Because now they can go out and do their jobs ... and have a conversation."
"I have no malice in my heart ... or anger toward any one police officer," The Game said. "This is a beautiful city that can be one, that was one, that can get back to being one ... I want to tell everyone that I love you no matter what race you're from, where you come from ... whoever you are," he said. "If you are a human being, this is a day of change."
