For years, the top five on Forbes wealthiest Hip Hop artist list have consisted of different combinations of Dr. Dre, Puff Daddy, Jay Z, Birdman and 50 Cent.
But with 50 going broke, there's room for another rapper in the top five.
And that rapper is Drake.
The money mag just dropped a mid-year Top Five update to their annual Cash King list. Check it out:
1. Sean “Diddy” Combs ($750 million) 2. Andre “Dr. Dre” Young ($710 million) 3. Shawn “Jay Z” Carter ($610 million) 4. Bryan “Birdman” Williams ($110 million) 5. Aubrey Drake Graham ($60 million)
“That’s pretty much my objective every year,” Drake once said of having his financial achievements acknowledged by FORBES. “Other than making good music.”Drake obviously has a long way to go if he wants to catch the big three of Puffy, Dre and Hov. But the 29-year old Canadian now has a head start on all of his contemporaries.
