Dr. Dre's long awaited third album, Compton, came out this past Friday. With a lot of buzz surrounding the album, it'll have one of the strongest first week sales we've seen in 2015. Hits Daily Double reports that 260-275k is the current number. That would make it the third biggest Hip Hop release of the year, trailing Drake's If You're Reading This, It's Too Late and Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly.

However, we've seen numbers (most recently Future's) go up drastically, so Compton could end up seeing  300K or more. It's also worth noting that the album is only available on iTunes. There aren't physical copies nor is it on any other digital outlets.

Despite high numbers, Dre might not debut at #1 on the charts, because country singer Luke Bryan's Kill The Lights has projections of 325-340K.

What are your thoughts on Compton and the sales projections?
