Desiigner soured on Kanye West and Good Music last year, publically asking off the label.
He finally got his wish.
On today's Everyday Struggle, he explained what went wrong.
I was happy and sh*t, but then it was kind of weird with certain things like I hear with my team. Even with certain records I put out, I hear certain criticisms, sometimes, sounding like Future, I didn't want to be around that. That was in the beginning. And I didn't really get to speak much with Kanye, and then he ended up going the Christian route and the Trump route. And I'm just like, I got to get my situation right ... I felt like I had to do me. I had to get comfortable."
In addition to not appreciating the slick Future talk, Desiigner said he was disappointed that Kanye wouldn't spend any time on his music, but would want everyone to spend time on Kanye's music.
"I just want at least five minutes of time to check out my records," he said, agreeing with DJ Akademiks' accusation that GOOD Music was a sweat shop.
Desiigner did add that he has no issues with GOOD Music president Pusha T.
