Damon Dash and Jay Z did many great things together, before falling out in 2004. They appeared to make up a couple years ago, but in an interview with Sway in the Morning Dame revealed that the former Roc partners are back to not communicating.
Dash told Sway he's been staying away from Jay because he read some stuff in the paper about Hov being affiliated with informants.
"There's paperwork. That part of it scares me, because I know [Roc-A-Fella co-founder Kareem "Biggs" Burke] is in jail. I know Irv Gotti has been harassed for years over shit he didn't do. I know they've been fucking with me for years. So it just means I need to stay over here. I love Jay, but let's say if I found out any of that shit – I can't fuck with him at all. Because that's how I was raised. It ain't no disrespect. I don't know how anyone else was raised, but that's it. It ain't nothing else to talk about. ...Where I'm from, that shit is not tolerated at all. That's the only conversation I could have with [Jay Z] to move forward... I have no more opinions about it until I have a one-on-one with him."During the interview, Dame also touches on his new film venture with Kanye West and his issues with Jim Jones. But it's his words on Jay Z (which start at about the 55 minute mark), which are causing a stir.
