Bryson Tiller has had a great start to his career. Last year, he had a co-sign from Drake for his record 'Don't,' which ended up blowing up enough on the internet to land him a deal with RCA Records. Many wondered why the R&B singer didn't sign with Drake, like PARTYNEXTDOOR and ILoveMakonnen had.
Speaking with the Red Light District podcast, Tiller revealed why he decided to join up with RCA Records instead of OVO. His simple reasoning is that he felt he could establish his own personal brand through RCA more than he could with Drake's label. Although, he does cite that Drake as his big brother and one of the only people who he cares about for an opinion on his music.
Considering there's been a lot of Bryson Tiller and PND comparisons, it's probably better he didn't sign to OVO Sound.
Listen to the podcast below. Bryson also discusses his fascination with video games, his influences in Soulja Boy and Omarion, and more.
