Over the last couple months we've had reports of Birdman not paying for work on his $14 million South Florida mansion and also not paying Cash Money's producers. Then there is a $1.9 million federal tax lien and whatever is going on with Lil Wayne.
It is known that Baby uses non-payment as a strategy, and doesn't like to pay anybody unless they threaten him with court. However, his latest financial hiccup suggests ignoring his creditors is more than just a tactic; TMZ reports Birdman has bounced $12,500 in checks to his Miami condo association, and now they are going to court to evict The Number One Stunna. Strategy of non-payment or not, that doesn't seem like it would be worth the hassle.
Additionally, TMZ says Baby took out a $5 million loan against his mansion (the one he owes a million dollars for work on) earlier this year.
It's starting to look like there may be some real cash flow problems at Cash Money.
