Beanie Sigel Shot in Pleasantville, NJ

Beanie Sigel is currently in surgery following an incident that left the rapper and another man shot. According to reports, the shooting took place in Pleasantville, NJ around 9:25 this morning at 834 Spruce Ave. The extent of the shot isn't known, but he was struck in his torso, then taken to AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center' city campus.

Sigel recently got out of prison for tax evasion and, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, was sent to home confinement on September 25th. Sigel has a checkered legal history; he’s served time on weapons charges, and in 2003 was acquitted of attempted murder. He was also shot multiple times during a 2006 robbery.

The man shot with Sigel hasn't been identified, and refused medical treatment.
