Afroman likes smoking herb. He's never made bones about that. However, his 2001 marijuana anthem 'Because I Got High' was about all the ways his drug of choice made him suffer.

Now that cannabis is slowly but surely becoming legal all over the world, Afroman has remixed his one hit in conjunction with pro-marijuana  lobbying organization NORML and Weedmaps, an app to find the best legal weed. This time Afroman, who still has the Afro but has gotten a bit grey in the beard, puts a positive spin on good old Mary Jane.

"I had problems with Glaucoma and but then I got high," Afroman raps and goes on from there.

In his lyrics, he discusses how marijuana can help you quit alcohol, tobacco and prescription drugs and how the tax revenue from legal weed can fund projects like new schools. Not to mention how legalization will keep the prison population down and stem the violent illegal drug trade.

It's a much needed and much appreciate update. Now if he could have only gotten Jay and Silent Bob to appear in his new video.
