Lawsuits have gutted 50 Cent. So much so that he had to declare bankruptcy.

Now he's trying to use the legal system to get some money back by suing a former business partner.

In court documents, 50 Cent says he paid Andrew Jameson $270,000 to make TV deals for him. But 50 claims Jameson continued to negotiate with networks after their contract expired.  Fif says Jameson roped him into an unauthorized deal with E! for a show called 'The Unit', which would feature a young white woman working at G-Unit.

50 Cent found the show's premise false and offensive. And since Jameson had a handshake with E!, Fif claims he "severely damaged" his relationship with E!'s parent company NBC Universal by backing out of it.

The 40 year old is seeking about 800K in damages from Jameson.

Speaking to TMZ, Jameson lawyer Eric George dismissed Fif's charges.

"His claims aren't worth 50 cents." George explained, "In fact, Andrew is the one owed money -- several months of unpaid salary ... and he's in arbitration to get it."
